Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 5 September 2026
These general terms explain use of the GT Laser website and the matters considered when agreeing custom manufacturing work. This is primarily a business quotation website; submitting an enquiry does not place an order.
GT Laser Ltd
GT Laser Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 10197596. Registered office: 18 Frank Brookes Road, Cheltenham, England, GL51 0UW. General enquiries and order concerns: office@gtlaser.co.uk.
Website use
Use the website lawfully and provide information you are entitled to share. Do not attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation or submit malicious files. Website text, photographs and original design materials belong to GT Laser or their respective owners and may not be reused beyond applicable legal rights or permission.
Quotations and agreeing an order
A quotation is based on its stated specification, quantity, material, artwork, data and assumptions. Any validity period, payment schedule and delivery arrangements are those stated in the quotation or agreed correspondence. We do not apply an unstated universal quotation validity period or payment term.
Changes to dimensions, artwork, data, material, quantity or the required result can change price and timing. The agreed quotation, written order acceptance and any expressly accepted purchase-order or other written terms define the particular job. A purchase order does not automatically override terms that have not been accepted.
Customer information and intellectual property
Please check supplied dimensions, material specifications, drawings, spelling, numbers, URLs, serial data and artwork. Tell us about critical requirements and the intended operating environment. You must have the necessary rights or permission to use supplied logos, trademarks, artwork, images and designs and to authorise us to reproduce them for the job.
You retain rights in your supplied material. GT Laser retains rights in its own original material unless agreed otherwise. Production permission does not automatically authorise publication of your project as marketing.
Proofs and approvals
Where a proof is provided, check spelling, content, dimensions shown, layout, orientation and QR or variable data before approval. A screen proof shows the proposed content and layout; it does not necessarily reproduce material colour, finish, depth or installed scanning conditions.
Approval confirms the details shown in that proof. It does not remove GT Laser’s responsibility to manufacture to the agreed specification or to address manufacturing errors.
Variable data
Supply a clear source table and identify unique items, quantities, repeated copies and selected sequences. You remain responsible for the accuracy and authority of the source content, including URL destinations. GT Laser reviews the agreed record count, layout and production mapping with the batch requirements; clarify the required reconciliation and verification checks in the quotation.
Source changes after proof approval require a revised controlled file and may affect timing or cost. Functionality controlled by a third party, including a destination website, is outside the physical marking process.
Samples, materials and tolerances
A sample can help agree appearance, fit, process suitability or readability. State which features it is intended to approve. Natural grain, colour, finish and material batches can vary; discuss any critical matching requirement before production. Substitution of the agreed material requires agreement.
Manufacturing processes have practical tolerances. Any drawing-specific tolerance is subject to explicit acceptance for the process and takes priority over a general description. No universal numerical tolerance is promised by this website.
Customer-supplied components
Provide the material, finish, dimensions, value and any relevant coating information before sending components. Testing and spare pieces may be needed. We agree the scope, handling and any specific allocation of risk before work starts; supplying a part does not automatically waive your rights if it is damaged through our fault.
Lead times and delivery
Lead times are estimates unless specifically agreed as contractual commitments. Timing depends on the accepted specification, approvals, materials and any agreed payment requirements. Tell us about a critical deadline before ordering.
Delivery method, cost and any agreed risk-transfer arrangements are set out for the order. Report transit damage, missing items or carrier problems promptly and keep relevant packaging and photographs. No fixed claim deadline or transfer of risk is imposed by this page; applicable law and the accepted order terms govern.
Payment
Price, VAT treatment, deposits, due dates and credit arrangements are as expressly stated in the accepted quotation or agreement. If any payment detail is unclear, ask us before confirming the order. This website does not introduce a standard credit period or late-payment charge.
Changes, cancellation and returns
Contact us promptly if you need to change or cancel an order. For business orders, cancellation rights and any properly agreed charge depend on the contract and work or materials already committed. We will explain the position for the particular job rather than applying an automatic blanket non-refundable rule.
If you buy as a consumer, statutory rights apply. Qualifying distance purchases generally carry a 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right, but goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised are normally exempt from that right. An item is not necessarily exempt merely because it is made after an order. These exceptions do not remove rights where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail the applicable legal requirements.
Defects or other problems
Email office@gtlaser.co.uk with the order reference, a description and useful photographs. We will investigate against the agreed specification and discuss the appropriate remedy. Please agree any return arrangements with us. Nothing here removes statutory rights or excuses manufacturing errors.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. No general monetary liability cap is introduced by this website. Any separately proposed business limitation must be expressly agreed and legally effective.
Events outside reasonable control
If an event outside reasonable control affects an order, the affected party should notify the other promptly and discuss reasonable steps to reduce delay or disruption. Any change, suspension or cancellation follows the accepted contract and applicable law; this wording does not create an automatic right to retain payment without delivering the agreed work.
Technical website information
Process descriptions and images explain typical capabilities. The actual material, grade, finish, geometry, fixing and operating environment determine suitability. Website information may be updated; the accepted specification for your order remains the reference.
Governing law
For business agreements made on these terms, the law of England and Wales applies unless another governing law is expressly agreed. Applicable mandatory rights, including consumer protections and any right to bring proceedings in a competent local court, are preserved.
